Evening.

I've been roleplaying for around four years now and I've had a hard time finding a guild that appeals to warlocks on Alliance and from what I've seen, this guild is excellent. My previous interactions with members have always been enjoyable and a friend recommended Eredun Lullaby to me.

Character overview:

Name: Mellara Montgomery
Race: Human
Class: Warlock

Mellara was born in the Kingdom of Stormwind, during the First War and the coming of the orcs. Her life was fairly unremarkable until the razing of Stormwind by the Horde when she was very small, in which both her parents were killed. Surviving only because of the kindness of strangers, she was scooped up during the exodus of the surviving population led by Anduin Lothar and wound up on the shores of Lordaeron with her countrymen.

She spent her childhood living in the Capital City of Lordaeron, taken in by the couple that saved her. During the intervening years spanning the Second War and the events that followed, she lived with her adoptive parents in a tavern that they owned. It was here that she was exposed to tales of the orcish Horde's brutality which combined with the traumatic events of her early years, eventually fuelled the hatred she harboured for the orcs.

In her late teens, during the spread of the Plague of Undeath and the fall of Lordaeron as a whole, she fled for her life towards the only remaining bastion of humanity, her restored birthplace, Stormwind City. It was during this time that she was introduced to the dark arts by a travelling companion, though what exactly happened is known only to her so I feel this is best found out in character.

Since then, Mellara has spent most of her time in Stormwind, perfecting her craft and studying. A woman that may strike some as being cold and lacking in empathy, her goals are known to her and her alone.

Greetings Mellara, welcome to the Eredun Lullaby.

You do seem to offer a rather straightforward explanation of your character on a first glance, but I have a few questions first.

First of all, could you share anything more about her and the dark arts? Not necessarily full of spoilers, of course. Could be stuff such as what she specialises in, her experience, or anything really.

Secondly, you state that her goals are known to her, and her alone. Would she be willing to share what she does, though, in exchange for others sharing what they do back? What about asking for assistance from others? As the Lullaby is a scholars society, in essence, it is necessary to keep in mind that sharing is caring when it comes to knowledge - within logic, of course. We all keep our secrets after all Wink

Of course!

She specialises mostly in destructive magic, spells that cause a great deal of damage and pain. She has some experience with demonology as well. Not to the extent that warlocks that specialise in it do but enough that she has a working knowledge of basic rituals and summoning spells. But of course there's always more to learn.

She would be willing to share in exchange for knowledge. This ties in to asking for assistance, as well. She has what some might call a thirst for knowledge so she in the long term she wouldn't be opposed to sharing what she knows or helping those that ask her for assistance, though of course at first it may take some coaxing, in character.

Thank you for the quick response.

I don't have much else to ask OOC myself. Unless someone else has questions, we can proceed to holding an IC interview/meeting.

That's great! When would be convenient for the IC meeting?
